Choose a result before making a resolution
This new year goals template is a one-page worksheet for choosing a single result to work toward in 2027. Start with something you can describe and recognize when it happens. Instead of filling every available line with unrelated ambitions, write one outcome and explain why it matters to you. The worksheet leaves room for a weekly action, a first date, an obstacle and a check-in. These prompts are a planning aid, not a promise of a particular outcome.
Turn the intention into a date
Choose a first action small enough to complete with the time and resources you already have. Put its date on the January calendar, or on the month when you intend to start. For example, a reading goal might begin with choosing a book and reserving a regular evening. The example is not prefilled in your download; the writing areas are blank so your own priority remains central. Name the likely obstacle and decide what you will do if it occurs.
Plan a check-in that can change the plan
Write a monthly review date before printing the page. At that check-in, compare what you actually did with the action you chose, then keep, reduce or replace it. Avoid treating an interrupted week as a reason to abandon the whole year. Use a separate copy for another goal when you need it, rather than squeezing multiple projects into the same small boxes.
Print and connect the tools
Choose a portrait Letter or A4 PDF, match the paper size in your printer and check that the bottom prompt remains visible. The free sheet is for handwritten planning. The Planner Pack adds a quarterly milestone review PDF and a weekly planning page, plus an editable calendar workbook. Enter your review dates or milestones in Events to see them on the appropriate month. Custom anniversaries and personal appointments can share that view; only the first three entries per day appear in the printable grid, with a notice for additional entries.
