Distinguish the Fourth from Monday time off
July begins on Thursday and includes five Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Independence Day is Sunday, July 4; the federal observance is Monday, July 5. Both appear on the PDF, with the observed date identified separately. A Sunday celebration does not automatically tell you when a workplace closes. If you are coordinating family plans, confirm each person's availability before blocking the Monday. Put travel departure and return dates on their actual squares, including any overnight journey that crosses midnight. Review the final Saturday, July 31, when moving recurring weekend plans into August. Leave a short note for reservations or supplies that must be arranged before the holiday rather than on the day itself.
Choose your paper and print
Download Letter for 8.5 by 11 inch paper, or A4 for 210 by 297 millimetres. Both files contain the same dates in a layout sized for that paper. Open the PDF, select landscape, and preview one page before printing. Use actual size when the preview fits your printer margins; choose fit to printable area if an edge would be clipped. The calendar begins on Monday. Empty leading and trailing squares are intentional, with room for handwritten notes.
When plans change
The free PDF is a fixed calendar for writing by hand. For editable events, the 2027 Planner Pack includes an XLSX month view: enter a date and title in Events, select the month, and the entry appears on that day. It shows the first three entries per day and flags additional entries. Custom anniversaries use their 2027 date. Weekly planning and milestone review PDFs support the follow-up work.
