Start the year with commitments you can keep
January begins on a Friday and has five Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Put recurring weekend commitments on the sheet before adding extra projects. New Year's Day is Friday, January 1; the Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. is Monday, January 18. Those dates are observed federal holidays, not a promise that your workplace or school closes. If your first full working week begins January 4, use the space before it to collect appointments rather than squeeze a whole week into three days. Write one January priority in the margin, then choose a date to review it. Leave room for appointments that arrive after the holiday break.
Choose your paper and print
Download Letter for 8.5 by 11 inch paper, or A4 for 210 by 297 millimetres. Both files contain the same dates in a layout sized for that paper. Open the PDF, select landscape, and preview one page before printing. Use actual size when the preview fits your printer margins; choose fit to printable area if an edge would be clipped. The calendar begins on Monday. Empty leading and trailing squares are intentional, with room for handwritten notes.
When plans change
The free PDF is a fixed calendar for writing by hand. For editable events, the 2027 Planner Pack includes an XLSX month view: enter a date and title in Events, select the month, and the entry appears on that day. It shows the first three entries per day and flags additional entries. Custom anniversaries use their 2027 date. Weekly planning and milestone review PDFs support the follow-up work.
